- This chart plots the Rental Index against the Private Residential Property Price Index (PPI). The rental index is the ratio of the current rental per square metre per month compared with that in 4th Quarter 1998. It is compiled by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and is used to monitor the general rental movement of private properties in Singapore. The index only covers private residential properties on IRAS' valuation list and does not include HDB flats.
